Cory has been a professional baseball instructor for over seven years.
During that time, he has worked with more than 1,500 young men and women. Cory
has helped students from age 5 to 25 and from T-Ball to Professional improve
their baseball and softball skills.
Cory was a four year starter at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where
he posted a .320 career
batting average. He holds career school records in runs scored, stolen
bases, and is 3rd in career hits, 4th in doubles, and 3rd
in triples. In addition, Cory holds the single season record for fielding
percentage and runs scored at Samford.
Before his time at Samford, Cory spent one year as a red-shirt at Mississippi
State University where he was a member of the 1998 College World Series team.
Cory was also a four year letterman for Coach Phil Clark at Germantown High
School. His senior year he earned All-District, All-Metro, and All- Region
honors while being named Germantown’s Most Outstanding Offensive player in
1997. As a sophomore he was a member of the undefeated 38-0 State and National
Championship team.
Lessons are
now available with Cory on weekdays after school. Regular 30 and 45 minute
lessons are available and special one hour lessons are available upon request.
In order to see the best results, it is important to be consistent with
scheduling lessons and consistent with practice outside of lessons. Hitting a
baseball has been proven to be the most difficult thing to do in any sport!
Therefore, for a player to reach his/her full potential, they must work hard!
